Webster County Schools Awarded AEDs from the Kentucky AED Grant

Webster County Schools has been awarded 6 new AEDs funded by the Kentucky AED Grant. The grant, sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Education, funded 300 statewide awards of $2,000 each, allowing districts to purchase an AED for a school that does not have one, additional AEDs for schools, and/or replacement AEDs for equipment older than 8 years or that has been discontinued. The 6 awarded are for replacement AEDs due to age or being discontinued.

KRS. 158.162 requires schools to maintain portable AEDs in public, accessible spaces; conduct annual training with staff, including all coaches; submit an annual report to the Kentucky Department of Education on the number of devices in each building; and develop a plan to purchase additional devices as funds become available. In the past two years, Webster County Schools has received 14 AED devices through this grant opportunity.

Studer Parent Survey Available until May 1st

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are conducting a survey in partnership with Studer Education to monitor our progress in creating a positive school experience for you and your child(ren). Your feedback is crucial in helping us identify areas for recognition and improvement.

The survey will ask you to select the school your child(ren) attends. Once you complete the survey for 1 school, you will have the option to provide feedback on another school if you have a child at another school in the district. Providing feedback to each school should take approximately 10-15 minutes. We encourage you to complete it in one sitting, as your responses will be saved once you click submit.

The Parent/Caregiver Experience Survey can be accessed here:  Studer Parent/Caregiver Survey

To maintain the confidentiality of the Parent/Caregiver Survey, our partners at Studer Education will administer the survey, manage data collection, and aggregate data to provide results reports to leaders.
We appreciate your feedback and partnership!
