Recently, we submitted a request to the KY Department of Education for two emergency days due to the county water emergency. When the Webster County Board of Education voted on February 9th to submit the emergency day request, we knew it could be denied. However, our previous requests have been approved, and we were hoping for the same result this time. 

Unfortunately, we have been notified that our emergency application was denied. As a result, we are required to make up the two missed instructional days to meet the state’s attendance and instructional hour requirements.
